Post graduate studies

Hello friends, in this post I’m going to tell you about the postgraduate courses that I would like to take in the future, well, I think that talking about this is one of the most difficult things because I can’t even imagine finishing the career, in this moment I only think about passing the subjects hehe, but there are many aspects that I like about psychology and the good thing is that this university has interesting offers about postgraduate courses.

Throughout this year and a half of career I have had approaches to many subjects and some of those that I liked and I would like to learn more is social, educational and perhaps clinical psychology.
 I would like to take educational psychology courses, because I think that psychologists can also make a transformation in the Chilean educational system and contribute to its progress by finding the aspects to improve and achieve changes from within the education system. 


On the other hand, social psychology has called my attention so I would like to learn more about this topic and take a postgraduate course related to social, political and intersubjective processes of our society and be able to be formed with a more critical thinking about the society in which we live.


I must admit that I would love to study abroad, but I also admit that it is a bit difficult for the money. However, I hope that when I graduate I have many more opportunities and if I am successful I would like to study part time to be able to work at the same time.

I think it is very important to be able to improve yourself and to learn more every day in order to be able to help others as completely as possible and I imagine that having postgraduate courses contributes to being a much more competent psychologist in the respective areas of development.

    I like part-time modality of postgraduates studies too (because we can work and study, as you said) and I agree with you that as future psychologists, it's important to improve ourselves and learning every day for helping other people in the best way. So... all of these things do us better professionals in the area we will chose :)!

Hello Friends! When I was a child I was a very curious girl and it may sound a little funny but I wanted to be a hot dog seller. I remember that in my childhood I had many friends and I liked to hearing their problems or stories and I always tried to help them and began to hear “hey, you should be a psychologist when you grow up” but at that moment I never thought it could be one of my possibilities of life. When I was 17 years old I only liked Psychology and Law but I was not very clear what I wanted to be in my future but I thought I had more psychology skills and finally I decided for psychology at University of Chile. My experience at the University has been good but stressful. With respect to the kind of job that I would like to have, I am still not clear because there are many fields of work that I would like to know but if I had to choose I would like to work as a social psychologist.

STUDY PROGRAMME

Hello Classmates. Today I’m going to tell you about the changes that I would like to make to my study programme. First of all, I think that the psychology career curriculum is very complete and think that all the subjects that we have contribute to the training as psychologist but I must admit that before starting the university I never checked the study programme. However, I have heard that the hours of practice outside of the university are very short, more specifically we only have 2 field works during the career that lasts five years as minimum and I consider that if we work with people we must  prepare earlier to know more about the psychologist practice in real situations. It is necessary to recognize that now efforts to change the study programme are being made and this is considering the opinions of students, academics and other people. MY FUTURE JOB

Hi Friends! Today I'm going to tell you about the job that I want to have in my future.  To begin, I must tell you that when I was a little girl, around age 5 my dream was to be a hot dog seller when I grew up; now this idea sounds me very crazy.  Then I wanted to be a hairdresser to help people to feel good about themselves, in that moment I realized that what I wanted was to help others and I opted to study Psychology, I loved the idea of help people with their problems and that they could feel happier in their daily lives.  Now, I imagine have a flexible time job than the offices and spend more time in different things like my family, friends, I also want to travel, time to my hobbies, among others.
