DELIRIUM
Hello friends! Today I’m going to tell you
about one of my favorite books, “Delirium” by Lauren Oliver. It’s the first
book of the trilogy of the same title and the other two books are called Pandemonium
and Requiem.
Delirium is a young novel about a young woman,
Magdalena "Lena" Haloway, who falls in love in a dystopian society
where love is seen as a disease.
In short words, "Lena" is the protagonist of the
Delirium Saga. When his mother died because of “deliria nervosa de amor”, she
moved to live with his uncles. Now she is looking forward to his 18th birthday.
Through a surgical intervention in the brain the area that controls your
emotions will be eliminated, and finally she can has a peaceful, safe and
painless life but the only big problem is that she falls in love with Alex.
I read this book at school and I liked it a lot
because it is a topic that is very interesting, I think it is very difficult to
imagine a world where feelings are forbidden, this book attracted my attention
in seconds and its development impressed me even more, for this reason it
quickly became one of my favorite books.
This book belongs to the genre of dystopian
works, which are like the classic “1984” by George Orwell or “A Happy World” by
Aldous Huxley raises the existence of a rationally organized society, in which
there is no possibility of error, and in which the inhabitants They live in
full harmony.

the book sounds very interesting, in general I like that kind of stories !
