FAVORITE SUBJECT


Hello Friends, today I’m going to tell you about my favorite subject although it’s a little difficult to decide for one in particular because there are specific things that I like about each one but if I have to choose one, I choose Basic Psychological Processes because I feel it’s a very complete subject for many reasons.
This subject examines theoretical background and results of research in motivation, emotion and cognition, understood as interrelated psychological processes that contribute to explain the behavior of the human being in a given situation.
The reasons why I like basic psychological processes is because the topics that are treated in classes are very interesting and it doesn’t deal with ambiguous things, instead of this, it deals with things that can be applied to daily life for example the relation between parents and children or the goals that we put in daily life.
In addition to the topics that are taught, I like that the academic load is not too much because there isn’t much we should read and that makes the subject more relaxed.

Besides, I like the dynamics of the class because apart from doing normal classes, sometimes we work in groups, we talk about the different topics we have to study and we talk collectively with all the other classmates and that makes it different from other subjects.

WHY DID I CHOOSE PSYCHOLOGY?

Hello Friends! When I was a child I was a very curious girl and it may sound a little funny but I wanted to be a hot dog seller. I remember that in my childhood I had many friends and I liked to hearing their problems or stories and I always tried to help them and began to hear “hey, you should be a psychologist when you grow up” but at that moment I never thought it could be one of my possibilities of life. When I was 17 years old I only liked Psychology and Law but I was not very clear what I wanted to be in my future but I thought I had more psychology skills and finally I decided for psychology at University of Chile. My experience at the University has been good but stressful. With respect to the kind of job that I would like to have, I am still not clear because there are many fields of work that I would like to know but if I had to choose I would like to work as a social psychologist.

STUDY PROGRAMME

Hello Classmates. Today I’m going to tell you about the changes that I would like to make to my study programme. First of all, I think that the psychology career curriculum is very complete and think that all the subjects that we have contribute to the training as psychologist but I must admit that before starting the university I never checked the study programme. However, I have heard that the hours of practice outside of the university are very short, more specifically we only have 2 field works during the career that lasts five years as minimum and I consider that if we work with people we must  prepare earlier to know more about the psychologist practice in real situations. It is necessary to recognize that now efforts to change the study programme are being made and this is considering the opinions of students, academics and other people. MY FUTURE JOB

Hi Friends! Today I'm going to tell you about the job that I want to have in my future.  To begin, I must tell you that when I was a little girl, around age 5 my dream was to be a hot dog seller when I grew up; now this idea sounds me very crazy.  Then I wanted to be a hairdresser to help people to feel good about themselves, in that moment I realized that what I wanted was to help others and I opted to study Psychology, I loved the idea of help people with their problems and that they could feel happier in their daily lives.  Now, I imagine have a flexible time job than the offices and spend more time in different things like my family, friends, I also want to travel, time to my hobbies, among others. I don’t want to have a nine to five job or less to be stuck behind a desk; I imagine a more practical job, and of course I’d like to be my own boss.
